Solar Systems, Solar Panel Installers, Batteries, Upgrades and Solar Maintenance.
A Professional Solar PV Installation can be an overwhelming process to most clients. At least 90% of Owners do not realize how much Hardware is involved to ensure the Safe Operation of a Solar PV System. Our aim is to not only provide professional workmanship but take the extra time to constantly improve installation quality. This involves in house-training, high-quality test equipment and keeping up to date with new equipment features and regulations.
We DO NOT compromise on our Safety Principals and ensure at all times both you and your building are well looked after! The installation is never a “Limited Install” on the electrical safety, we build the site with you and make the necessary changes or improvements together.
You, the Installer and the LAW:
There are many electrical rules and regulations that need to be adhered to mainly Electrical Installation Regulation Sans 10142. The most important facts that need to be adhered to are the following according to the Law,
These are the Basic Requirements that need to be fulfilled by both the homeowner and the installer! If these are not met and the governing municipality does an inspection the homeowner can be liable to a fine and/or have their power disconnected from the municipal services.
Installer Permits/Green Cards and other forms of identification are only to provide you with additional knowledge that the installer has done some form of training on a solar system. They DO NOT qualify to do an Installation unless they also adhere to the above Laws. It is very important that you as the homeowner ensures that the system is not only installed correctly but the documents (COC’s) are in order.
Ok, enough of that, when you work with us at EBS Services you will not need to worry about the documentation and the requirements as we meet all of the above. If there is additional work that needs to be done (changes to the existing electrical infrastructure etc…), we are more that capable to get the job done.
Roof is Prepared and the Solar Panel Mounting Structure is Installed. This consists of Mounting Brackets fixed onto the roof structure and Aluminium Rail System.
The internal components are fitted (in a secure environment), this consists of the Inverter, Batteries, Electrical Distribution and the Solar Panel Distribution Safety Equipment.
Once the Solar Panel Mounting Structure is in place the Solar Panels can then be safely installed and secured.
The Electrical and Solar PV cabling is prepared and installed. Main link from System to Main DB, Comms Cable and additional.
The Solar PV System is Pre-Commissioned and Intergrated into the clients Distribution Board (DB).
In this step we have numerous tests that are performed on the Solar PV System once the System has passed all the tests the system is then made active.
Our Specialist will work with you in determining your Needs and Requirements for your Solar PV System.
Once we understand your requirements a System is then Designed and a Proposal can be Generated.
An Installation date is scheduled immediately after the Proposal is accepted and Stock is Confirmed.
After the Solar PV System is Active and passed all Testing and Certified, then the System is Signed Off and Handed Over.
The initial installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system is crucial for its long-term performance and efficiency. A properly installed solar PV system can provide reliable, clean energy for decades to come, while a poorly installed system can lead to decreased energy production and unexpected maintenance costs. This is why we insist on Quality over Speed when we do a solar installation.
During the installation process, it is important to ensure that the solar panels are installed at the correct angle and orientation to maximize energy production. This includes taking into account factors such as the location of the panels, the angle of the sun, and any shading from surrounding buildings or trees. A professional installer will be able to properly assess these factors and ensure that the solar panels are installed to maximize energy production.
Another important aspect of the initial installation is the electrical wiring and connections. A faulty connection or incorrect wiring can cause the system to not function properly and can lead to safety hazards. We ensure that we only use high-quality materials and to follow industry standards to ensure a safe and efficient system for many years.
In addition to maximizing energy production and ensuring safety, a proper installation can also lead to long-term cost savings. A well-installed solar PV system can last for 25 years or more, and regular maintenance can help to ensure that the system continues to function at its best. On the other hand, a poorly installed system can lead to decreased energy production, unexpected maintenance costs, and even early system failure.
In conclusion, the initial installation of a solar PV system is crucial for its long-term performance and efficiency. A properly installed system can provide reliable, clean energy for decades to come, while a poorly installed system can lead to decreased energy production and unexpected maintenance costs. It is important to ensure that the solar panels are installed at the correct angle and orientation, and that the electrical wiring and connections are done properly. The initial investment may seem high, but the long-term savings and benefits of a solar PV system make it well worth it. If you Insist on Quality and Best Service then you are in the right place!
